Fig Almond Cakes are made with premium whole Pajarero figs and Marcona almonds. It takes about 500-600 figs to create one 5kg cake. Workers destem the figs by hand. Today there are other companies importing fig cakes but they are a puree of stems, figs and other spices mashed into a bread.
