Holiday Cookie Contest
Bakers, we've thrown down the whisk! Enter your favorite holiday cookie recipes now through Oct. 27 at all four DFW Central Market locations.
Cookies will be judged in early November. The winning recipes will appear in the Taste section of The Dallas Morning News in December.
And all the entry fees go to The Dallas Morning News Charities, to help the hungry and homeless during the holidays.
The contest is open to all amateur cooks. The prizes are CM gift cards: $150 for first place, $100 for second and $50 for third. The cook who creates the new Cookie Man will receive a selection of cookbooks.
Entry fee is $5, or $12 for three recipes.
Submit up to three recipes. Members of the Taste team will pick 10 finalists in each category (Family recipe; Decadent; Decorated; Incredibly Easy; Bar; and Cookie Man, which is judged on appearance only) , and those cooks will be asked to bring their cookies to the judging.
