- 2-3 roasted Hatch green chiles, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup American cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
Over low heat, melt the cheeses in a saucepan. Add the cream, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Stir in the tomato, chiles, and garlic powder. Add sour cream to adjust consistency for dipping. Makes about 2 cups.
Serve with tortilla chips.
