Hatch Green Chile Con Queso

  • 1 cup American cheese, greated
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar, grated
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 2 Hatch chiles, roasted, peeled and chopped
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder


In a medium saucepan, combine both cheeses and sour cream over low heat until cheese is melted. Stir continuously to prevent scorching. Stir in the tomato, chiles, and garlic powder. Adjust consistency for dipping by adding sour cream. Serve with tortilla chips. Makes about 2 cups.
