March of the Foodies
Fall in love with us all over again! During March of the Foodies, we'll showcase our love for great food, and our passion for customer service. From March 3rd - 30th, we want to show you where Central Market's passions lie.
What are we willing to do? We've developed a family of Central Market All-Natural and Organic products to satisfy our most loyal customer; and we employ a team of passionate and knowledgeable Partners and Foodies!
Can you smell the freshness of the bread, see the colors of the produce, hear the hustle and bustle of the Cafe? That's how we show you that we are the home of freshness, the destination for variety, and the champions of service!
For years we've personally guided you through the CM experience, and established a reputation as the best of the best. We want to re-capture that nostalgia and use it to re-introduce you to what makes the CM experience like no other. Central Market is THE destination for those who are dedicated to food, and we are determined to share it with the world! Join us all through the month of March, for March of the Foodies!

Margo's voice and writing style have often been likened to that of Alison Krauss, Patty Griffin and Norah Jones, with a little Bonnie Raitt thrown in. Her songs from New Blue received Honorable Mention at The Telluride Troubadour Competition in 2007

His highly recommended, energetically rockin' show presents piano and vocal interpretations of classic Honky-tonk, Country Blues, Delta Rhythm Boogie, Gulf Coast Boogie-woogie, Rockabilly and hard driving Country Rock. Sunday, March 14, 12:30 - 3:00 PM Rich Harney (piano) is a pianist and composer much in demand on the local jazz scene. He released a 1994 recording with Beth Ulman, titled "Aren't We the Lucky Ones?" His compositions have been recorded by Marlena Shaw and Pam Hart, and he has performed with Carmen Bradford, Tony Campise, and Alex Coke.

This group moves between bluegrass, ragtime, oldtime, jugband, and Klezmer with ease, injecting humor and sharp witted commentary along the way. 8:00 to 9:00, The Shotgun Party. This group steps into the swing-trio wake, as if the Hot Club of Cowtown rear-ended the Damnations. They swing early jazz right on into dance hall country with rapturous results.

Mouth-watering barbecue café specials, $2.00 Shiner pints, and blues from local legends. The Little Elmore Reed Blues Band has been packing the house at TC's lounge every Monday for a few years now. We were able to sway this all-star blues group into to playing Central Market popular blues night.

Friday, March 26, 6:30 - 9:00 PM Erik displays so much graceful mastery of his instrument, be it violin, guitar, mandolin, or even his distinctive singing voice, that he will leave you bewildered and dumbfounded by his sure talent. His compositions alone should list him among the greats of Texas music.
His blend of California surf music, Texas twang, and exotic gypsy styles are far reaching and memorizing to the listener.

Wednesday, March 31, 6:30 - 9:00 PM Every Wednesday the Café is offering a recession-proof evening of entertainment. Mouth-watering barbecue café specials, $2.00 Shiner pints, and blues from local legends. Texas-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Shawn Pittman attended the Albert King / Jimmie Vaughan school of blues guitar playing. He's not flashy, and he realizes the spaces between the notes are as important as the notes themselves. Tone and melody are just as important, to Pittman's way of thinking, than fast and flashy runs up and down the guitar neck.
