Experience a Sea Change in Quality

Our cases display more than 100 varieties of saltwater and freshwater fish and shellfish. With shipments flown in from Hawaii, Ecuador and beyond six days a week, Central Market carries only the finest seafood available. And we expertly cut fillets and steaks from whole fish with unbelievably fresh results. Heck, we'll even steam or marinate those results while you shop!

In fact, we have plenty of marinated and stuffed seafood ready to cook or simply heat when you’re pressed for time. Our Fresh Catch Kits package fish, pre-cut veggies and seasonings, making it easier than ever to cook your favorites. We also have talented sushi chefs rolling various types of your favorite sushi daily.

HACCP-Approved Seafood

We’re proud to be the only retailer in the country to adhere to the rigorous standards of the USDA’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan. This means we are inspected by the city, state and USDA. The quality control for our seafood handling and processing is under the most sanitary conditions.

How do we adhere to such rigorous standards? We fly our fresh fish in several times a week. We inspect each piece of fish at the door. And, whenever possible, the fish we sell has been out of the water for less than 48 hours prior to its arrival. Plus, we buy directly from fishermen who support sustainable fishing practices.

It all adds up to the kind of freshness you can taste from a mile away.

Saltwater Tanks

We make our aquatic guests feel at home with separate saltwater tanks for lobsters and crabs, each specially maintained at proper salinity and temperature. With fresh shipments flown in from Maine and Canada 3-4 times a week, we pamper our seafood so you get the royal treatment with every bite.
