Meet Food Network Star Aaron Sanchez at Central Market Dallas October 12

Aarón Sánchez, owner and executive chef of Centrico in New York City and co-star of the Food Network series Chefs vs. City, is coming to Central Market Dallas October 12, 11:30 am-1:30 pm, for a book signing.

Sánchez is in Dallas shooting a new season of Heat Seekers for the Food Network, but he’s making a special appearance at Central Market to talk about his new cookbook, Simple Food, Big Flavor: Unforgettable Mexican-Inspired Recipes from My Kitchen to Yours, which is due out this fall. In it Sánchez shares 15 simple recipes from his culinary heritage.

About the book he says, “I decided to take all my incredible flavor memories and distill them into magical sauces, purees and pastes that you can keep in the fridge or freezer and pull out whenever you want to turn a simple collection of ingredients into a seriously tasty dinner.” These versatile base recipes range from fragrant and fiery to savory and sweet, including garlic-chipotle love, salsa verde, Aarón’s adobo and cilantro-cotija pesto. Each recipe comes with tips on ingredients, technique, variations and storage.

I agree with Kathy...the man is brilliant when it comes to food. He is considered an authority on Latin cuisine, afterall. If his book only has 15 recipes in it, you can bet those 15 recipes are exceptional. All that brilliance and he is not bad on the eyes either. Sure wish I could call in sick to work just to be there!

Becky ... I guess you don't know who he is! I would buy anything he wrote, even if it had just one recipe in it ... and to see him in person is a dream come true. The man is a culinary genius!

He's trying to sell a cookbook with only 15 recipes in it?! Good luck to him....
