Central Market Introduces Texas Joe Coffee

Central Market has a new way to brighten your morning: Texas Joe coffee, sourced from the best Arabica beans throughout Central America and Africa. Why is it called Texas Joe? Well, for starters, it’s roasted in Texas in the styles we know Texans love.
The name Texas Joe is inspired by the iconic Bozo Texino, a graffiti image painted on rail cars in the 1940s by an old Texan train keeper. The image inspired free spirits traveling by rail across Texas and the United States, and it inspires our roasters today.
Each can of coffee is fresh roasted the week of delivery and sealed to keep the coffee fresh. The can is designed so you can grind as you go for the best coffee experience each morning. We have six blends to choose from: best blend, Texas pecan, Costa Rica, Guatemala, breakfast blend and Ethiopia.
Best Blend
Roast: Medium
Acidity: Medium
Body: Full
This is a carefully crafted blend of premium varietal beans grown in different regions of Central America. This proprietary blend ensures a deep, satisfying flavor with a smooth, smoky finish.
Texas Pecan
Roast: Light
Acidity: Low
Body: Medium
Our Texas pecan contains the real thing: fresh pecans grown in Texas. With each sip you’ll taste the rich essence of roasted pecans and a hint of Madagascar vanilla.
Costa Rica
Roast: Medium
Acidity: Medium
Body: Medium
Grown on the fertile slopes of West Valley Costa Rica, these high-altitude beans grow slower and take longer to mature, yielding a coffee that is complex, with a round body and refreshing acidity. We carefully roast this coffee to the precise level required to release its unique flavor and delicate aroma.
Guatemala
Roast: Medium
Acidity: Medium
Body: Medium
The coffee is grown in the lush southern part of Guatemala nestled among volcanoes, where the soil is rich and produces outstanding coffee with lively aroma and lingering flavor.
Breakfast Blend
Roast: Light
Acidity: Medium
Body: Medium
This mild, delicate and balanced coffee is slightly citrusy. With a wonderful aroma, it’s a great way to start your day.
Ethiopia
Roast: French
Acidity: Low
Body: Medium
This coffee is grown at elevations between 4,500 and 6,300 feet in the southern region of Ethiopia. We chose this varietal for its ability to stand up to a true French roast. This coffee is bold and flavorful, with a wild, but slightly muted, fruitiness.
