Put Your Heart on the Grill

This summer I can not seem to get enough of my favorite grilled artichokes drizzled with drawn lemon butter.

First I steam the artichoke for about 35 minutes with sliced garlic cloves and lemon juice to flavor the water. And set another pan on a low burner for drawn butter. After I've finished steaming I cut it in half and season each half with kosher salt and cracked black pepper. My grille is about 375 degrees and I simply lay them face down (the flat side) on the grill for about 3 to 4 minutes untile the tips start to smoke.

Now for the fun part... I pour myself an ice cold glass of Vouvray , a Chenin Blanc, and do nothing! I have completed my masterpice and can't wait until I get to taste that drawn butter drizzled little beauty. Ah, perfection!
