Make Way for Rosé
Texan's love their big reds! And why not they are great, but for the unforeseeable future it is going to be 100 degrees in the shade. So as you are lovingly plucking those spicy and still sizzling babyback ribs off the hot grill you might still be deciding on a wine. If you're grumbling, "Certainly not some sissy pink stuff", then you are missing out.
Rosés are most often made entirely from red wine grapes and share much of the same characteristics. Berry and other red-fruit flavors, and some with a surprising amount of heft, making them ideal quenchers with the heartiest of dishes. Yet, what they offer that most red wines don't, the cool, chilled refreshment you find in white wines.
The food-pairing versatility of rosé is unsurpassed. From delicate seafood, to spicy pork, tender beef, savory vegetables, even exotic curries, the possibilities for delicious matches are endless. Central Market is proud to feature a wide range of unique and delicious rose's from light salmon-hued all the way to those so dark that in their hearts these wines are convinced they are red.
Among my favorites:
Unsure which of our many rosés to choose? Describe your tastes, the items on your menu, or even your favorite wine to one of our Wine Partners, and you will go home in a new hue of red. We promise, you look good in pink!
Chateau Paradis - pale in the glass, this substantial Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Provence has become a force to be reckoned with.
Ambo Rosa - delicate Pinot Noir from Northern Italy becomes a strawberry-hued, juicy, refreshing go-to rosé with cheese & fruit.
