Central Market Unveils “The Chocolate Collection”

We’re officially unveiling “The Chocolate Collection” February 6th to the 14th, with rich and decadent works of art in every single department. Sample your way through the largest selection of imported and local chocolates in the country, learn surprising ways to cook with chocolate beyond dessert, visit with renowned chocolate makers and chocolatiers, then pick-up dinners and desserts to spice up your Valentine's Day plans.

From savory chocolate vinaigrette to towering, fudge-filled tortes, every indulgence and inspiration will be on display, and in our galleries we encourage you to touch and taste the exhibits.

Begin with our artisan chocolates, in every shape and taste, the collection of bars that we have is unrivaled by anyone else in the country.  With so many options standing before you, here is a very short list of bars and confections not to be missed:
  • Patric The In-NIB-itable Bar
  • Askinosie San Jose Del Tambo, Ecuador Dark Chocolate Bar
  • Mast Brothers Dark Chocolate Brooklyn Blend Bar
  • Prestat Dark Marc de Champagne Truffles
  • Dude, Sweet Chocolate Chocolate Almond “Salami”
  • Pacari Dark Chocolate with Lemongrass Bar
  • Bissinger’s Gold Box Signature Classic Collection Assortment
  • Made Exclusively For Central Market Truffles
Then make your way outside of the candy aisle and be sure to try some of the festival's featured items, such as: White Chocolate Apricot Bread, Anthony's Chocolate Mousse Cake, CM Best. Chocolate. Ever. Belgian Chocolate Pudding, and Havanna Alfajores.

Next make sure you have chocolate, covered, in one of our cooking school classes.  All month we will have classes to expand your knowledge of this craveable ingredient.  From wine workshops dedicated to chocolate and wine pairings, to classic decadent chocolate baking classes, to perfect romantically themed cooking class.  See all the classes that are available on the Cooking School page of our website. Another way to expand your chocolate knowledge, visit with any of the dozen chocolate makers and chocolatiers that will be in-store during the festival to let you sample their award winning work. The full calendar of visits can be seen on the Events page of our website.

Lastly, on Valentine's Day there is no need to break a sweat in the kitchen. Instead, indulge in a delicious chef-prepared meal with Central Market’s popular “Dinner for Two” Valentine’s edition. With more options than ever before, choose from five complete chef-prepared dinners for two, from oven-roasted lobster tails to grilled beef tenderloin. You can also reserve bakery items such as heart-shaped pot de crème and crème brûlée. Dinners are available for online ordering until February 13 at 3:00p.m. and ready for pick up February 12-15. Orders can also be placed by calling the stores.

Drove from Krum Texas to Southlake for the chocolate. Nothing on display and very disappointed.
