Celebrate Beer: Expand Your Brewniverse

Our annual beer celebration and tour of brewers returns September 12-25.

If you’ve been bitten by the craft and artisan beer bug, or fantasized about  switching to a career in beer brewing,  join Central Market as we bring in some of the country’s best brewers and sample enough beers to seriously stretch even a beer aficionado’s ‘brewniverse.'

From September 12 - 25, pore over hundreds of pilsners, ales, bitters and bocks, including some of Central Market beer experts’ local, home-grown and international favorites. Discover new brews that pair with tasty foods as you visit brew masters and pairing experts or enjoy a beer dinner hosted by some of the best in the business.

Almost two dozen of the best brewmasters in the world will host beer samplings, talk one-on-one with budding and seasoned beer-lovers and even share recipes that take beer from pint to plate.

Just a few of the folks we've got coming to visit:

  • Jehn Legnard, Brewmaster at Blue Moon
  • James Emerson, Brewmaster at Full Sail
  • Rich Doyle, Founder of Harpoon Brewery
  • Jerry Vietz, Brewmaster at Unibroue
  • Brad Farbstein, Founder of Real Ale
  • Rob Day and Justin Ginter, Brewers at Alaskan Beer

We'll host beer dinners and all-about-beer classes in our Cooking Schools and tastings down by our gigantic cold beer case.

Schedules vary by store - check out your online event calendar for the most up-to-date details.

Hi Travis - there will be a beer sale this year as well. Both weeks of the event 9/11-9/24/13 the sale will be for 20% off your beer purchase of $25 or more.

I was just wondering if its the same deal as last year where if you spend a certain amount you got 25% off.

David - thanks for the comment, we had Brock from St. Arnold at our Houston and San Antonio stores during the festival.

Was just wondering if anyone from St. Arnold's brewery may be coming. Really enjoy their brews. Thanks.

Aimee - thanks for the comment, the Blue Moon team was in the Dallas / Fort Worth area the 16th and 17th. There are still some great in-store tastings happening through the 25th.

When will the Blue Moon Brewmaster be in? I could not find that one on the Events Calendar.

Blue Moon is anything but craft beer. Pretty good lineup otherwise.

Pretty sure that Magic Hat was bought byt AB INBev about 2 years: Unibroue is great though!

Sarah - Unfortunately we will not be carrying Expand Your Brewniverse t-shirts this year, but there are some fun goodies if you ask in the beer and wine department including koozies and tastings with some amazing Brewmasters. Also, thanks for wearing your Central Market love where everyone can see it.

You yankees really like your Magic Hat, good but not as good as Shiner or Unibroue. Go get a bomber of Le fin du Monde and let me know what you think.

Will CM be carrying Brewniverse T-shirts like you did for the first two years of Brewtopia? I still wear my Brewtopia T-shirts with pride and would like to continue the tradition! Thanks.

Better get the MAGIC HAT brewer from South Burlington, VT there. It's realy good micro-brew.

Doug, Thank you so much for you comment. The new website features an In-Store area with a calendar featuring events happening at each store. Below is a link to the Dallas Lovers calendar for September http://www.centralmarket.com/in-store.aspx?store=dallas_lovers#/events/september We look forward to seeing you soon.

I would like to access the events calendar for the Lovers store. I cannot seem to find it. I am in East Texas so I make trips to "store up". I had a great experience when you had Spain emphasis and purchased cases of great wines and beers. I would like to be alerted of special emphasis times in order to know that a certain country or region is being promoted. Can I get on a mailing list that will notify me? Thanks
