Cook the Book: Japanese Farm Food

Get hands-on experience cooking with the author of Japanese Farm Food in our Houston, Austin and Dallas Cooking Schools.

Winner of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2012 for Best Japanese Cookbook, Japanese Farm
Food
is creating quite a stir in the culinary community. Alice Waters, Patricia Wells, Deborah Madison and Hiroko Shimbo, among others, have praised the writing, recipes and beautiful photography, as well as the insight into life on a Japanese, organic, family farm. The Austin Chronicle, Saveur, and Food and Wine, along with a number of blogs, included this beautiful book filled with approachable recipes on their lists of top cookbooks of the year.

When we discovered that the author, an in-demand authority, would be in the U.S. in early April, we jumped at the chance to offer you this opportunity to learn about seasonal eating at its finest. So don't miss this chance to spend time in our kitchen, learning Japanese techniques, with Nancy Singleton Hachisu, who has lived and worked on her husband's family farm in a northern province for over twenty years.
