Ranunculus: Greek God or Gorgeous Flower?


Ranunculus (ra·nun·cu·lus) sounds like the name of a Roman emperor or Greek god, but it’s actually a brilliantly colored flower — that we just so happen to be highlighting during our Spring Bloom event, going on right now. Ranunculus have multiple layers of delicate, thin petals that make it look like an “origami masterwork*” and come in a range of colors from vibrant to pastel.

Iris: Regal Flowers Fit for a King -- or a Sorority Sister


If you’re a Kappa Kappa Gamma girl like my grandma, you and the Iris (and owls and keys!) have a special connection. But, the rest of us need not worry: This showy flower, named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, has enough love for everyone. Lilies: Oh, Now You’re Just Showing Off


Lilies are no shrinking violets. These tall flowers are often floral showboats with flamboyant, trumpet-shaped flowers that come in a variety of colors, freckled petals that curl outward, and strong fragrance. They definitely want to be noticed.
